Get off to a good start
It's not true that; "Everybody knows how to be healthy." Nor that; "My doctor knows best." Importantly; "What do you know?"
ALMOST EVERYONE believes that they "know how to be healthy." They have this experience. "Nothing changes. Diet and exercise make no difference. Doctors don't really help. It's life, you can't change it. Look around, we will all get older and sicker, don't we?"
Nutrition and health propaganda that you BELIEVE, and act on, is quite likely destroying your health.
FIRST: to the extent that you have been captured by propaganda, (and you can't know) you need to de-school yourself. Unlearn.
SECOND: You have to be responsible for what you choose to believe. Nobody else, has the ability to rebuild your health knowledge.
THIRD: Although you probably can't believe it, writing your own plan for creating better health in your own life, is a powerful instrument. Your first attempt will be inadequate. But in a week you'll be able to improve it. In a month or two you could have two pages to discuss with your doctor. In a year you might be informing your doctor about the real YOU, you understand and he or she couldn't know about.
Things You Can "DO HERE" that only cost you time.
The critical thing is to START. Take control. Begin the journey to better health.
Write a personal plan for better health.
On Tuesday evenings (NZ time) at 7pm There is an online Q and A on Zoom.
Build your knowledge starting with the three lessons.
Both the above activities improve your knowledge and will get you thinking in new ways. There's lots to learn.
You can dive straight into the Banting Diet (Ketogenic) Good but it might be too early.
You can begin with physical fitness training. Not if you are badly obese or in very poor health. (Once again too soon; better diet first.)
