NICE, the National Institute for health and Care Excellence, is still conflicted, trapped with old advice, dating back a long way, but last updated in 2009. They allow a doctor to be guided by the patients needs and requests. They do recommend a low glycemic diet, and then recommend fruits and whole grains, which are the opposite of that.

In New Zealand, Professor Grant Schofield has been the most noticeable voice among professionals. This web site has a page about him in local-navigation The Lecture here , and in the Experts Directory both pages developed in October 2016.

Pharmacist Lobby Jenkins on has developed the most high profile website in New Zealand and Australia, www-navigation Ditch the Carbs, starting in 2013. In 2019 she founded Low Carb Practitioners. Lobby has been leading the charge for a long time.

Dr Glen Davies has come to our attention as GP of the Year, 2021, and he speaks at length in this www-navigation Good fellow Podcast.

There are many Facebook Groups, some local, some national and some international. For instance www-navigation LOW CARB DOCTOR NEW ZEALAND.
